Organizational Structure

Committee Activities

The Japan CMO Association (JCMOA) has established three committees as pillars of the association’s activities, and activities center on these committees.

Contract Manufacturing and Compensation Committee
　Activities of the Contract Manufacturing and Compensation Committee include sharing case examples of incidents of trouble in the case of contract manufacturing, sharing the liability insurance/PL insurance coverage status of each company → consideration of the state of CMO insurance, considering contract manufacturing agreement (research on contract patterns), researching risk management: backup systems (backup site networks), and conducting seminars jointly with related universities and organizations (risk management specialists, the Japan Pharmaceutical Industry Legal Affairs Association, etc.).

Technology and Training Committee
　Activities of the Technology and Training Committee include conducting seminars jointly with related organizations (Packaging Standardization Committee, etc.), sharing of challenges related to the training and securing of engineers by each company and considering the measures to solve the challenges, and researching measures for enhancing formulation and packaging techniques.

PIC/S Committee
　Activities of the PIC/S Committee include the information gathering about PIC/S GMP, the technical issue extraction, and considering the measures to solve the challenges as CMO industry.

Public Relations Committee
　Activities of the Public Relations Committee include advertising and publicity activities to support and boost contract manufacturing business for member companies, preparation and construction of CMO industry information database (organization of industry statistical information), and preparation of drafts for voluntary guidelines (manifesto, mission statement).
